Nestled along the peaceful back roads of Gibson County, Indiana—just outside Hazleton and a little off the beaten path—lies a true hidden gem: The Azalea Path Botanical Garden and Arboretum. Don’t worry about getting lost—there’s helpful signage to guide you along the way.

As you wind down the narrow country road toward the entrance, you’ll actually pass the exit first—just keep driving a bit further… you’re almost there!

By the time you reach the driveway, your jaw will already be dropping at the explosion of color surrounding you. Azaleas in every shade—vibrant pinks, fiery reds, deep purples, snowy whites, warm oranges, and sunny yellows—create a breathtaking welcome.

Open daily from April 1 to June 1, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Time, admission is just $5 per person, and kids four and under get in free.

Once you park, the real adventure begins. Over 3,000 azalea plants bloom throughout the property, creating a floral wonderland that’s nothing short of magical. The paths are mostly flat and accessible, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

As you explore, you’ll discover peaceful water features, fountains, a tranquil lake, cascading waterfalls, and charming cottage-style touches everywhere you look—think whimsical garden statues, wooden carvings, sculptures, benches, and even swings.

Need a break? Grab a snack or drink at the cozy on-site café, and rest assured, there are clean restrooms available too.

The Azalea Path also offers a stunning setting for weddings, with all the amenities you’d need for a perfect ceremony. We were blowen away by the beauty of the natural setting and how they have incorporated so much color using the Azaleas. This is a must for a spectacular springtime wedding!
